With summer comes hot and humid days and with them the dangers of heat stroke, dehydration and respiratory problems.
Occasionally, I’m asked, "What one thing would you change to make Minneota safer?" Some think having another officer would make our community safer.
They are missing Each year American Legion Commander Jim Fink points to me and says, “Will you read the Empty Chair” for us? I smile, nod and think to myself ... “It’s my honor.”
The weather has warmed up, the flowers are blooming, the trees are full of green leaves and even some crops are starting to come up.

The wheels of education are moving quickly in the Minneota area. Ivanhoe Principal Courtney Frie has accepted a job as a principal in the Lakeview School District in Cottonwood.
