The Lyon County Fair in Marshall swung into action this week, officially opening on Wednesday. On Tuesday afternoon, the Lyon County Rabbit show took center stage with Judge Richard Steinburg of Owatonna evaluating all the rabbits.
Jodi Buysse talked with Judge Steinburg. Buysse took the Reserve Championship in Senior Showmanship when all was said and done. Buysse’s day wasn’t finished as she went on to earn Reserve Champion Overall Rabbit honors too.
Mallorie Hicks of Tracy was the overall winner. Reflecting on the rabbits during the judging was Natalie Bot.
While, Ella Moorse listened as the judge when through one of his explanations.
When he was finished, he told the participants in the Senior Showmanship class they needed to listen closely to the questions he asked and give the correct answers.
The fair continues through the weekend.
