CRAZY DAYS BRINGS OUT BIG CROWD

Crazy Days was deemed a success by many of the businesses participating this year and the large number of people that were seen shopping locally this past Friday.
"We sold over 200 burgers," said Cindy VanKeulen, the coordinator of Nordland 4-H that was selling a burger lunch outside Brad's Market as its annual fundraiser.
A dozen area businesses participated in this year's event after the pandemic forced the cancellation of last year's Crazy Day event.
At One More Time thrift store on First Street, paper bags were being sold for $8 with customers allowed to fill the bag with any items they could stuff inside.
"I got way over $8 worth of items," said Shannon Sorensen of Ivanhoe as she displayed her bag that was filled to the brim. "It was a good deal. I hope they do that again sometime."
Workers estimated that over 40 bags were sold at $8 apiece.
"It was a great day at the store," said Brenda Verschelde. "It was good to see people out shopping and supporting the community."
The Mascot held a special with two months free with a paid one-year subscription and were able to entice many new customers.
Brad's Market held an outdoor special under a canopy tent with several items for sale. Customers were seen taking advantage of the specials throughout the day.
The C-Store at AgPlus sold donuts for 25 cents each until supplies lasted. In all, 96 donuts were purchased during Crazy Days.
