Gillund completes second straight Boston Marathon

Lisa Gillund, only the second Minneota female to ever compete in the Boston Marathon, recently completed her second straight run at the 127th annual Boston Marathon on Monday, April 17.
Gillund finished in 3:59.31, nearly three seconds better than her inaugural run in Boston in 2022, and finished an impressive 1,261st in her 45-49 age group and 7,329 among all female runners.
Over 30,000 men and women from all 50 states and 150 countries competed in this year's Boston Marathon, the 10th year since the bombing at the finish line killed three people and wounded hundreds more.
Evans Chebet of Kenya won his second straight men's race, while Kenya's Hellen Obiri won the women's race.
