Lyon County Republicans elect new leaders

On Saturday, Feb. 25, the Lyon County Republican convention met at the Minneota Community Center and chose its officers and executive committee members for the next two years.
John Alcorn and David Sturrock will serve as co-chairmen, Trudy Madetzke as secretary, and John Rabaey as treasurer.
North County residents Rick Konold (Minneota) and Chad Nigg (Fairview Township) were elected to serve on the Lyon County Republican Executive Committee. In addition, Konold will serve as alternate to the Republican State Central Committee.
The convention also discussed current state issues with Senator Gary Dahms and Representative Chris Swedzinski.
