Slip, sledding away ...

After not having enough snow to go sledding, snowmobiling, cross country skiing through November and most of December, outdoor enthusiasts have been enjoying a little time in the white powder lately after the area was hit by a pair of snowstorms. Here, Eva Skorczewski and her sister, Lydia, enjoy sledding downhill on their toboggan outside of Minneota recently. Partway down the hill, though, the siblings had a slight mishap and wiped out. The mild winter temperatures to date have made ice fishing difficult on some lakes with the ice thickness still not safe. Several ATV's have broken through the ice in west central Minnesota.
