Speech & Sweets

The Minneota Speech Team held a “Speech and Sweets” event Monday to thank the public for their support and give them a taste of something sweet while team members performed.

Rachel Engels gave her informative speech. Her presentation dealt with the physics of roller coasters.

Coach Kim Gades welcomed guests and introduced the team members who went to sections and state this year.

Alyssa Engels spoke about the dangers of social media during her Original Oratory presentation.

Emma Lipinski competed in the Great Speeches category. She presented a piece by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Jacob Haen gave his humorous speech centered on the hijinx of putting on a third grade school play.
