Minneota Sixth Graders played, “Surfin’ U.S.A.” by drummin’ on buckets during the “Sun, Sand, Surf,” 2019 Elementary Spring Concert at Minneota School last week.

During the Second Grade’s Mexican Folk Song, Derek Fier waved to the crowd. He would pass away with his mourners gleefully watching over him.

Minneota Band Director John Voit led the Fifth Grade Band in a pair of selections.

The Minneota Elementary concert was so much more than your normal singing event. Kids took to dancing, as did Isaiah Ramirez and Garrett Schuttler in the Fourth Grade.

The kids also played tubes as instruments. They were: Kade Sussner and Taryn Myrvik.

They got into it with dance movements such as Carson Javers and Easton Johnston did, or swinging together with a partner. They are: Ruth Monzon and Clare Swedzinski in the Fourth Grade.

And the Fifth Grade, under the direction of Physical Education Director Joel Skillings, showed their tumbling routines. And, oh yes, they did sing. Mary Kaye Rabaey directed.

They got into it with dance movements such as Carson Javers and Easton Johnston did, or swinging together with a partner.
