The “Casual Car Show” at Countryside Golf Course in Minneota every-other-week continues to draw car enthusiasts and owners of the cars.
Everybody loves the old cars — especially when they are remodeled. With that in mind, several “Car Show” — and motorcycles will be on display at the Countryside Golf Club.
Friends, family and alumni of Minneota’s 50 years of wrestling showed up Saturday, not on the mat, but on the golf course.
Eighteen years after her father ended a 15-year run as manager of Countryside Golf Course, Robin Boe Traen began the same job on May 31.
The sun beat down unmercifully on a group of girls trying to struggle their way through the state golf tournament. They had to fight against the elements, and the heavy competition.

It’s been 20 years since Minneota hasn’t had a team in the state tournament. Count them — 20 years with AT LEAST one team making the state in any given year.
The Viking Golf Academy 2017 at the Minneota Golf Course has been set for June 19-23 and June 26-29. Instructors include Nicole Evers, Brooklynn Downing and Minneota Golf Coach Greg Gile.
