The Canby-Minneota-Lincoln HI girls' cross country team, led again by Leah Jessen in first place, won the Murray County Central meet at Slayton on Tuesday. Jessen finished in 15:48 with Dana Kraus in fifth at 16:43 with Erin Kamrath 6th at 16:51; Morgan Merritt seventh at 16:59 and Chelsea Deslauriers 10th in 17:29. Team scores were: CML 21; Worthington 42; Martin County West 79; Tracy-Milroy-Balaton 96. The boys' meet was won by Worthington with 34 followed by Murray County West at 62; Tracy-Milroy-Balaton at 90; Canby-Minneota-Lincon HI at 95; Hills Beaver Creek at 95 and Murray County Central at 102. The boys leader was Nick Stoks in fourth at 17:44. Luke Jessen was 16th; Levi Citrowske 22nd, John Deslauriers 28th and Wyatt Johansen 29th. Jack Anundson of Minneota finished in 35th place in 22:27. In the girls JV meet, Morgan Crowser was third. In the boys Junior High meet, Mitchel Johansen finished second and Quentin Beiningen fourth. Top girl for CML in the junior high meet was Brandi Merritt in sixth. Minneota's Meghan Travis was 10th in 8:09 and Jenna Anundson was 13th in 8:54.
