Millie Longhenry has a life-threatening brain malformation and is seeking treatment from NeuroSolutions Center of Austin, TX. Millie Longhenry is the daughter of Bill and Meg Longhenry, and granddaughter of Roger and Nancy Longhenry of Porter. Bill is a native of Porter, and graduated from Canby.

The Minneota Honor Society chapter held their last blood drive of the school year last Thursday. Students, staff, parents and community members donated to this worthy cause. A total of 60 units were collected from this drive, bringing the total for the year to 202 units.

St. Edward's students Addy Pohlen and Declan Evjen recently were announced as Big Bang finalists sponsored by the Catholic Schools Center of Excellence. Each advanced to the state competition last weekend in the Twin Cities.

Minneota senior Cora Fischer, who placed eighth in Great Speeches at the 2024 State Speech Meet this past Saturday in Shakopee, was one of 90 speech competitors from 42 different high schools named to the 2024 Minnesota Speech Coaches Association (MSCA) All-State Speech team.
