Canby girls, Jessen win own invitational PDF Print E-mail

The Canby-Minneota-Lincoln HI girls captured their own cross country invitational Tuesday on the Canby Golf Course.

Eighth Grader Leah Jessen won the event in 16:29 with Erin Kamrath fourth at 16:43 and Kana Krause seventh in 17 minutes. Morgan Merritt andchelsea Deslauriers rounded out the top five CML runners in eighth and 10th place.

CML had 26 points to second place Marshall's 33. Others were: Benson/KMS 84, MACCRAY/RCW 105 and Lakeview 112.

On the boys side, Marshall won thestoks event with 38 points with CML in second with 52 followed by MACCRAY/RCW with 83, Benson/KMS with 95, Ortonville at 99 and Murray County Central at 115.

CML's Nick Stoks was fourth overain in 17:03 with Luke Jessen eighth at 17:57.

Ted Berckes was 11th; Levi Citrowske 16th and John Deslaurers 20th for the CML team.

Grant VanKeulen won the event for Marshall in 16:28.
