Funeral Service for Orville Stenerson, 96, of Minneota will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2009, at Hope Lutheran Church in Minneota.  Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2009, at Rehkamp-Horvath Funeral Home in Minneota and will continue on Friday, October 2, 2009, at the church.  Interment will follow the service at Hope Lutheran Cemetery in Minneota.

Orville Gislie Stenerson was born on May 9, 1913, in Nordland Township to Andrew and Ragnild (Ramberg) Stenerson.  He was baptized and confirmed at Hope Lutheran Church in Minneota.  Orville attended District #29 Country School.  Orville was a lifelong member of Hope Lutheran Church.  He was active as an usher and served on various church boards.  Orville received special recognition for his 34 years of dedicated service to Nordland Township.  He traveled to Norway twice to visit family.  He enjoyed visiting with friends and family.

Survivors include his nephews Robert (Betty) Stenerson of Brooklyn Center and Gordon (Barb) Stenerson of Phillips, WI; niece Helen (Jim) Rokeh of Minneota; four great-nephews and two great-nieces; three great-great nephews; and three great-great nieces.

 

He was proceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister.
