The students have a wide range of activities scheduled for the week, giving them much to look forward to.
Monday has been declared as “Fake Injury Day”. It should be interesting to see what kinds of injuries the students can come up with.
Beach volleyball will be played in the gym a 10:45 that morning. That’s sure to be a competitive time.
Then at 12:35 in the gym, a spelling bee will be held between grades 1-4 to find the best speller in the school.
Tuesday has been declared as “Student Council T-Shirt Day”. Students will be encouraged to get up and move through their day.
The special feature for this day will be “Dance Bingo” in the classrooms beginning at 12:35. Prizes will be awarded.
The 5-8 graders will have their spelling bee on Wednesday at 9:15 in the gym.
That afternoon promises to be very special as a Talent Show will begin at 12:35 in the gym.
Thursday will have a Patriotic theme, as students wear red, white and blue, and also bring items appropriate to send to soldiers.
And Friday has been set aside as Mardi Gras day, with crazy clothes, and Mardi Gras action in the gym that afternoon beginning at 12:45.
The week’s celebration will end with the big “Flurry of Fun” event staged at the Minneota American Legion on Saturday, February 6 beginning at 6 p.m.
This event is huge — beginning with a silent auction, moving to a full dinner, then onto a live auction, and raffle drawing winners announced.
Lots of activities, all staged to celebrate Catholic School’s Week here, and around the nation.
