By Byron Higgin, Mascot Publisher Minneota used a combination of the inside-outside game to defeat Yellow Medicine East, 57-34 Thursday night to boost their record to 14-3. Inside, Ashlynn Muhl scored 18 points with 18 rebounds and outside Taya Kockelman hit on four three-pointers, scored a total of 17 points and grabbed five rebounds. "We just can't stop her inside," said YME Coach Ryan Bremmer. "We don't have enough people to stop both the inside and the outside game of Minneota's." the Sting coach said. The Vikings took a 32-14 halftime lead, watched it evaporate a little to 38-25, then behind Muhl inside and Kockelman outside, stretched the lead. Kelsey Hennen also had a good night at point guard. She scored eight points and the Vikings got eight more from Sam Hennen and six from Katelyn Kack. Amber Grengs came off the bench to grab five rebounds as Minneota out-rebounded The Sting, 35 to 23. The Vikings had 19 turnovers and YME committed 20. Leading YME was Angie Scheffler with seven points with Emily Baker and Steph Larson with six each. Scheffler led the Sting in rebounding with six.
