Mass of Christian Burial for Riley Sorensen, 3, of Minneota, was held at 11: a.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2010, at St. Edward Catholic Church in Minneota.  Interment was held after the service at St. Edward Catholic Cemetery in Minneota.

Riley Richard Sorensen was born on May 18, 2006, in Marshall, to Richard and Janice (Myhre) Sorensen. Riley was a very happy child. He always wore a smile and was always willing to share a hug. He loved spending time with his brothers and sisters, especially his younger brother, R.J. Riley also loved vacuums and the vacuum cleaner store! He enjoyed fishing, camping and building with his dad. He also loved lining up his farm toys and going to the farm with his grandpa. Riley could usually be found carrying around and protecting his pooh bear blanket. When the opportunity arose, he was quick to sneak a pop. He also had an exceptional memory and was very good at locating lost household items.

Riley died on Tuesday, May 4, 2010, as the result of a tragic accident at his home. He is survived by his parents, Richard and Janice (Myhre) Sorensen, siblings Brooke (age 12), Austin (age 9), Madison (age 8), R.J. (age 10 months), grandparents Doyle and Linda Sorensen of Ivanhoe, Jim and Mary Myhre of Minneota, great grandparents Darrell and Shirley Petersen of Ivanhoe and Jim and Corky DeCock of Minneota, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his Uncle Randy and great-grandparents Ernest and Lucille Sorensen and John and Thora Myhre.
