jeff at bridgeIt’s been a summer of plentiful rain. At first, it created a bountiful and beautiful crop across southwestern Minnesota as corn and beans flourished. But now, all that rain has thrown a wrench into the Minneota water, sewer and road project, and has altered and changed Boxelder Bug Days. Last week it stretched out the Yellow Medicine River at the road leading to K. P. Kompelien Field. Minneota City Worker Jeff Yeo looked on. Several area farm fields were flooded, creeks overflowed and even the golf course had standing water. Staff Photo by Byron Higgin.
