Kompelien Field Saturday, September 25 Fall Garage Sales in Minneota - Cross Country teams travel to Milaca for 10 a.m. competition Monday, September 27 Homecoming Week at the Minneota Public Schools Tuesday, September 28 Volleyball team travels to Tracy-Milroy-Balaton to take on the Scrappers Cross Country teams at Murray County Central (Slayton) for 4:30 meet Wednesday, September 29 Rotary Club at the Madison Avenue Apartment Community room for meal and meeting, public welcome Thursday, September 30 Volleyball team hosts Windom Friday, October 1 Homecoming football game with MACCRAY taking on the Vikings at 7 p.m. SMSU Homecoming festivities begin. University Gala at 6 p.m., Silent Auction, Choir, Jazz Band and other performances, dance. Tickets available at 507-537-6266. Beginning Experience of Southwest Minnesota, a non-profit support group for divorced and widowed people, is sponsoring a Singles Dance as a fundraiser. The dance is being held from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at the American Legion Hall, 117 S. Hiawatha, Pipestone, MN. Music will be provided by Mylan Ray. All singles 21 and over are welcome. Saturday, October 2 St. Edward’s School Frosty 5K begins at 9 a.m. using the walking trail — runners, walkers and strollers welcome as funds are raised for the Parochial School. SMSU Homecoming Parade in Marshall begins at 11 a.m. Cross Country teams at Willmar at 1 p.m. Monday, October 4 Volleyball team travels to Wabasso to take on the Rabbits Tuesday, October 5 Cross Country teams at Montevideo at 4:30 p.m. Volleyball travels to Dawson-Boyd for a battle with the Blackjacks Wednesday, October 6 Rotary Club at the Madison Avenue Apartment Community room for meal and meeting, public welcome Thursday, October 7 Volleyball team heads to Lancer territory of Canby Friday, October 8 Football team travels to Dawson-Boyd for a 7 p.m. battle with the Blackjacks Saturday, Oct. 9 “It Takes a Community to End the Stigma” One Day Conference in Recognition of Mental Illness Awareness Week Free!
