Runners first at Fulda PDF Print E-mail

The Canby-Minneota-Lincoln girls cross country team won the Murray County Central Invite at Fulda Tuesday with 35 points, edging Martin County West with 39.
The boys’ squad was second with 69 while Martin County West took the title with 44 points. There were six teams in the meet.
Minneota’s top runners were Leah Jessen in third at 16:29 with Sariah Cheadle fifth at 17:08 and Ashley Grengs seventh at 17:27.
For the boys, Nick Stoks took second at 17:28 with Luke Jessen in 12th and Wayatt Johansen in 17th place.

Minneota’s Meghan Travis ran for the varsity and finished 24th in 19:37.
In the girls’ JV race, Sofia Rabaey of Minneota was seventh in 20:22. Jenna Anundson of Minneota was 15th in the junior high race. Her brother Jack was 13th in the boys’ JV race at 17:32.
