What a week.

Last weekend the Minneota Vikings swept through the Apple Valley October Classic — by beating the host Apple Valley 2-0 in the finals.

Then Monday they played MACCRAY in the Camden Conference North/South game to determine a Camden Champion and the Vikings won again, 3-0 to take home the trophy.

Just last Thursday they officially won the Camden Conference with a perfect 10-0 record. Now, they are 25-2 and have the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Sectional Tournament. The only teams to beat them all year were Lakeville and Jackson County Central.

On Monday they took the conference showdown game 25-16; 25-23 and 25-12.

A week ago MACCRAY came to Minneota and won the first match, then lost three straight to the Vikings. It was a bit easier this time.

At Apple Valley over the weekend Minneota beat Burnsville 25-20; 25-22; then stopped Byron26-24 and 25-17 and got past Wabasha-Kellogg 26-28; 25-17 and 25-18.

In the championship they turned back Apple Valley, 25-21 and 25-21.

AT APPLE VALLEY, Ashlynn Muhl had 45 kills. Monday night at MACCRAY she had 29,

But the difference probably was sophomore Rachel Cheadle, who knocked down 28 kills during what Coach Steph Hennen called, "Rachel's best games of the year." Twelve of those kills came against Apple Valley.
