Pipestone falls to Vikings in season finale PDF Print E-mail

Minneota finished the regular volleyball season ranked No. 1 with a 26-2 overall record after winning their final regular season match Thursday at Pipestone.

They beat the Arrows 3-0 by scores of 25-13; 25-11 and 25-15.

At the serving line Jenna Hennen and Taya Kockelman each were 13-13 with two aces while Kelsey Hennen was 13 of 15 with five aces. Katelyn Kack served 10 of 11 with an ace.

At the net, Jenna Hennen and Ashlynn Muhl each banged out seven kills while Rachel Cheadle added six.

Jenna Hennen had 13 digs with Kelsey Hennen adding nine.

Setter Taya Kockelman had 28 sets while Sara Maeyaert led the team with three ace blocks. Cheadle had two.

The Vikings first playoff game weill be at 6 p.m., Friday, October 29 vs. Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg or Dawson-Boyd at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall.
