The Section 5A football pairings are set and begin on Tuesday.

Minneota got the second seed and will open on at 7 p.m. Tuesday at home against 1-7 Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg.

In the second round they'd face either Canby (6-2) or Russell-Tyler-Ruthton (3-5) in a 2 p.m. game on Saturday, October 30.

Here's the first-round pairings:

8. Ortonville (0-8) at 1. Dawson-Boyd (1)

5. Lakeview (4-4) at 4. MACCRAY (5-3)

7. Kerkhoven-MS at 2. Minneota

6. Russell-Tyler-Ruthton (3-5) at 3. Canby (6-2)

The second round games are at 3 p.m. Saturday at the site of the team with highest seed.

The championship is set for 5 p.m., Friday, November 5th at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall.
