New policy in place for use of the school PDF Print E-mail
The District #414 School Board approved Policy 902, which pertains to the Use of School District Facilities and Equipment. This is in place to protect both the school and the users of the facility.
The school belongs to the whole community, but we must remember that its main function is to educate the students. All of the activities, club meetings, sports events, etc., are secondary to the educational purpose of the building.

Red Cross bloodmobile is TODAY PDF Print E-mail
The American Red Cross is in Minneota today,  Wednesday, July 1st, for a Summer gathering. The unit will be at the Minneota American Legion from 1:00-7:00 p.m. 
Greg Biffle, driver of Roush Fenway Racing’s No. 16 Ford Fusion, has signed on again as a Red Cross spokesperson this 2009 racing season to help raise awareness among the 75 millions NASCAR fans across the country about the ongoing need for blood donations.

Crazy Days set for July 10 in Minneota PDF Print E-mail
The residents of this community are alerted to the annual Crazy Day festivities planned for Friday, July 10. Area merchants will be having wild prices in their stores from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. that day - so you won’t want to miss it!
Marshall Radio will also be in town with their Coke Zero Summer Event from 9:00 a.m. to11:00 a.m. Be looking for the truck that will be parked in downtown Minneota - and you will get a free can of Coke Zero as well as scratch-off tickets that are good at many area events.
The Minneota Area Chamber of Commerce brings you the Coke Zero event again this Summer, as a way of showing support for all of our local citizens.
Story Hour will also take place that morning, with Artist Loralee Miller teaching the children about drawing. This is a wonderful opportunity for the children to learn and keep their interest in books alive through the Summer program.
