peterson-helen.jpgFuneral Service for Helen Peterson, 82, of Minneota, was held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2008, at Hope Lutheran Church in Minneota.  Interment followed the service at Hope Lutheran Cemetery in Minneota.
Helen died on Thursday, August 28, 2008, after a couple years of failing health.

kiley-gerald-color-1x.jpgFuneral Service for Gerald “Gerry” Kiley, 52, of Minneota, was held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2008, at Hope Lutheran Church in Minneota.
Gerry died on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, at Sanford Health in Sioux Falls after a long battle with M.S. and a short bout of Cancer.
Gerald Paul Kiley was born on March 12, 1956, in Marshall, to Joseph and Delores (Polejewski) Kiley.  He grew up in Minneota and graduated from Minne-ota High School in 1974. 
On June 12, 1982, he was united in marriage to Vickie Hentges.

norman-larson.jpg Services for Norman Larson of Minneota were held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 7, at Hope Lutheran Church in Minneota. Providing special music were Simone Ramler on violin and Val Buysse, organist, and Scott Josephson and Erin josephson, vocalists. Burial followed at Hope Lutheran Cemetery.
Norman, 89, died on Thursday, July 3, 2008, at the Minneota Manor in Minneota.

Mass of Christian Burial for Adeline Engels Cable, of Marshall, was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 21, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. Burial followed the service at St. Eloi Catholic Cemetery in Ghent.
Mrs. Cable, 94, died on Thursday, June 19, 2008, at the Minneota Manor in Minneota.
Adeline Rose (Engels) Cable was born Sept. 12, 1913, in Westerheim Town-ship to Henry and Rachel (Van Keulen) Engels. She attended St. Agnes School in Ghent.
On June 8, 1943, she was united in marriage to Joseph Cable at St. Eloi Catholic Church in Ghent. In December of 1984, the couple moved to Marshall.
Adeline loved music and also enjoyed having her solo and bridge parties. She and her husband also enjoyed playing “500”.         
Adeline was a member of the Marshall Council of Catholic Women, the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and the Senior Citizen’s Center in Marshall.
Adeline enjoyed her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include her children: Bernadine (and James Prokop) Cable of Minnetonka, Jean (Donald) Bobleter of Buffalo, and Donald (Jan) Cable of Eden Prairie; two grandchildren: Lindsey and Grant Cable; and brother Robert Engels of Roseville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers.

Services for Becky Kompelien of rural Minneota were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, at St. Lucas Lutheran Church of Normania Township. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Becky, 50, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at her home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
