Mass ofChristian Burial forsug markellwas held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at St. Clotilde Catholic Church in Green Valley, MN.  Interment followed the service at St. Clotilde Catholic Cemetery in Green Valley.  
Sug was born September 6, 1924 on a farm near Bridgewater, SD. She attended Catholic school until age 10. In 1934 the Alcorn family moved to Walnut Grove, MN to escape the drought. She and her siblings walked two miles to two room county school until her eighth grade year.  She graduated from Walnut Grove High School in 1942.    
After high school Sug worked in Minneapolis as a secretary and in a munitions factory during the WWII effort.

Mrs. Shirley Mae Bristow, of Decatur, Georgia, died Wednesday, February 10, 2010.
Memorial services were held Monday, February 15, at 11 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Father Bryan Small officiating.
She was the former Miss Sioux Empire and Miss South Dakota State University.
She was a high school teacher at Minneota High School in 1967-68 and 1968-69.

Funeral service for Jori Ann Magnuson, 9 months old, of Minneota, were held at 11magnuson a.m. on Friday, April 9, 2010, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Minneota.  
Interment was held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Minneota.

Jori Ann Magnuson was born on June 25, 2009, in Canby to Cory and Melissa (Brewers) Magnuson.Although she lived a short time, she brought a tremendous amount of faith and love to those who came to know her.  
She was full of smiles and loved to talk and sing. She filled her family with enjoyment and happiness. She will be remembered for her blue eyes.

annavermuelenMrs. Ray Bottelberghe received word that her aunt Anna Vermeulen, 89, in Belgium had passed on.
She was born on March 10, 1920. She was married to Maurice Sinave, who passed away in 1958. She later married Roger Lafaut.
Anna taught dance classes and was well known for her needlework and painting.
She died on March 7, 2010.
She is survived by children, Luc and Angelika Sinave-Roth, Jean-Pierre and Nelly Malesys-Sinave, and Roger and Rita Iket-Sinave; many grandchildren, and great grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews in the United States.
She was preceded in death by a son, Dirk Sinave

cohencolorMass of Christian Burial for Marie L. Cowan, of North Minneapolis, was held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 8, 2010, at the Church of St. Bridget, 3811 Emerson Ave N., Mpls.
Marie, age 72, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was a thirty-five year daycare provider.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, James and Bernice Flemming; and son-in-law, Fred R. Cro-mack, Sr.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Dean; children: Tom Cowan, Connie (Mike) Keefe, and Michael Cowan; grandchildren: Jessica, Jason, Fred, Maria, Tiffany and Eric; and brothers and sisters: James (Aggie) Flemming, Mar-garet (Clarence) Drietz, Margie Flemming, John (Linda) Flemming, and Joe (Maryann) Flemming.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the U of M Masonic Cancer Center.
