dalagerchesterFuneral service for Chester Dalager, 90, of Minneota, were on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Hope Lutheran Church in Minneota.

Interment followed the service at Hope Lutheran Cemetery in Minneota.
Chester Olaus Dalager was born on February 13, 1920, in Granite Falls, MN, to Christopher and Mathilda Dalager.  On November 19, 1944, Chester married Evelyn Mikelson in Clarkfield, MN.

They farmed northeast of Granite Falls for 16 years.

The couple then purchased a gas and oil business in Minneota.  They added a grocery/convenience store the next year and wre open seven days a week for 23 years.  In 1983, they sold their business to their son, Charles, and wife, Linda.

Mass of Christian Burial for Alice VanHecke, 82, of Minneota, was held at 11vanhecke a.m. on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Minneota.  Interment followed the service at St. Edward Catholic Cemetery.
Alice died on Saturday, February 20, 2010, at the Minneota Manor.
Alice VanHecke was born on May 12, 1927, in Omaha, Nebraska to Henry and Clarisse Lootens.  The family moved in 1927 to a farm north of Minneota.  
On November 26, 1946, she married Maurice VanHecke.  They raised their family of three children on their farm west of Minneota.  Maurice died on December 3, 1986.  
She was a member of St. Edward Church, the Joan of Arc Society, Eidsvold Extention Club, and she enjoyed playing cards, baking, and spending time with friends and her family.

hauschildellenEllen Hauschild, age 90 of Ivanhoe, MN, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the Hendricks Hospital in Hendricks, MN.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 19, 2010 at Bethany-Elim Lutheran Church in Ivanhoe with Pastor Stephen Rasmusson officiating.  Visitation will be from 5 – 7 p.m. at Birk Funeral Home in Ivanhoe with prayer service at 7 p.m. and will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.  Burial will be in Alta Vista Cemetery, rural Porter, MN.  For online condolences, please visit our website at

Ellen Alphina (Olesen) Hauschild was born in Luck, Wisconsin (Polk County) on October 16, 1919 to Martin and Hulda (Hansen) Olesen.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.  Her parents died when she was 8 years old.  She lived with her brother George and Lucy Olesen and then in 1930 she lived with foster parents, William and Anna Stark, rural Hendricks, Minnesota until 1941.  She attended country schools in Wisconsin, New Grove in Lincoln County, and graduated in 1937 from Ivanhoe High School.  She attended teacher training courses in Ivanhoe, Minnesota and taught in country schools for 3 years in Lincoln County.

Services for Marian M. Fry, age 71, of Commerce Township, Michigan were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 15, at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 340 Pontiac Trail Walled Lake. Interment was in Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens, Novi, Michigan.
Mrs. Fry died February 12, 2010.
She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony.
She was the loving mother of Michael Fry, Peter (JoAnne) Fry, David (Sandy) Fry and Tina (Lonnie) Mathis. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and her sister, Patricia Cowles.

Formerly of NE Minneapolis, Tillman's funeral was held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 12, at Saint Clement’s Catholic Church in Minneapolis, MN. Father Earl C. Simonson officiated. Interment was in Saint Anthony Cemetery.
Rosemary died on February 8, 2010.
She was born February 17, 1941 to Phil and Yvonne Tillemans of Minneota.
She is survived by her daughters: Connie Butsko, Annette Tillemans (Keenan Hall), and Kristine Rios (Mark); grandchildren: Kayla, Kyle, Curtis, Byron, Brandon, Brittany, Alyssa, Karyss and Sophia; her sister, Jeanne Tillemans; brothers: Thomas, William and James Tillemans; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
