For the second year in a row, Minneota took second to host Jackson County Central in the weekend volleyball tournament in Jackson.
They lost in the finals to Jackson County Central, 25-20 and 25-18.
To get to the championship they beat Sleepy Eye St. Mary's 25-5 and 25-4 and bounced back with a nice 25-24 and 25-23 win over Mankato East.
The Vikings had an easy time with Windom Area, an arch rival, 25-15 and 25-18 in the match that put them in the championship.

It wasn't pretty, but it was a win.
In the words of Coach Chad Johnston, after the 42-0 Minneota victory over Lakeview Friday night, "It's not many times you can score 42 points and yet we were not clickin'. We've been clickin' — but tonight we weren't."
"Defensive played phenominal tonight," her said, adding, "And you've got to give it to Cottonwood, they came out on a mission, they gambled and they taught us alot."
