Theo Buysse earned his Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do in June, and he stated that, “it has helped to shape  my life.”
“I am a bit more in control of my actions,” said the MHS sophomore, “and it has definitely taught me respect.”
Buysse has been a student of Lee’s Tae Kwon Do since he was six years old.

A year ago Minneota Coach Chad Johnston had a pile of good players and hopes for a great season.
Now, the defending Minneota State Class C champions are sure of one thing: “We won’t be taking anyone by surprise,” said Coach Johnston.
Minneota’s 2010 version of Viking football returns  veterans, many in key positions, but has some vital spots to fill: namely quarterback, where Sam Derynck tossed 34 touchdown passes last year; tailback-receiver, where Tony Noyes became the area’s Most Valuable Player and tight and defensive end Will Kurka, who played in the summer all-star game.

When Ashley (Hennen) Dahl thinks about her high school days, she thinks about the volleyball teams she played on.
Once a member of the State Champion Minneota Vikings, she’ll now stand on the other side of the court as the head coach of Viking rival Dawson-Boyd.
As a college graduate and  newly married, Dahl will take that love of volleyball to a new height when she  coaches  the  Blackjacks.
Dahl started playing volleyball for Minneota when she came here as a freshman. Joe Sussenguth was the coach, and he led the team to the State Tournament that first year.
