Donations from the 2019 Minneota Memorial Run were presented in December. A $3,000 donation was presented by Eriann Faris and Carol Oakland to Jamie Lanners and other members of the Marshall Area Dementia Awareness Network. Carol Oakland presented $500 to Liz Herzog of the ABATE-Buffalo Ridge Chapter for their road safety training program.

Bikers stopped at the Bushnell store as one of the stops on the ride. Jordan Kimpe and Kelsey Fiala drove by and waved.

About 255 rode on Saturday.

Minneota Memorial Run donates funds

The 17th annual Minneota Memorial Run took place August 18 promoting motorcycle and road safety. Each year proceeds from the event are given to support area charities.

Eriann Faris told of the names on the plaque in honor of those who have died, as they were held by Ashlyn Swenning and Merissa Traen. On the left accepting donations from the run were Susan Wimmergren, Shannon Carrow and Abbie Ahmann of Avera.

Over 17 years bikers have been riding the Memorial Ride in Minneota. This past weekend organizers announced they’ve raise over $35,000 to help others.
