Good weather = fast drivers

With the good weather, people are starting to drive a little faster and this can be very dangerous. Lots of people are out walking and kids are playing, biking, and simply being kids.
I encourage all drivers to drive BELOW the speed limit.
If you are in a residential neighborhood, there is nothing wrong with going 20 mph. It doesn’t add any significant time to your drive and it greatly improves your response time.
You are also required to stop for people crossing the street at crosswalks and intersections.
Be the nice guy or gal and let people cross the street when you see them waiting at the corner. If you see kids in the street, don’t assume they see you.
Slow down and expect them to jump out in front of you.
Drivers have the responsibility to operate their vehicles safely and nobody wants to live a life knowing they hit a child with their vehicle.
