School is about to begin and that means lots of traffic at the start and end of the school day.
Parking on the residential streets is very limited. Have you thought about where you are going to park? The school parking lot has several openings every day.
Do you know that you can’t park in front of the school on 5th Avenue when the buses are loaded and unloaded? Have you seen the signs?
Don’t stop in the lane of traffic to let your kids out or pick them up as it is extremely dangerous and discourteous to other drivers. North Monroe Street by the school office doors is the worst for parents stopping in traffic to drop off/pick up their kids.
Have you spoken to your kids about bicycle and walking safety? These are very important things to consider and plan for before school starts.
