Aggressive Dogs
By:
Minneota Police Chief Bill Bolt
Do you have a dog that doesn’t play well with other dogs or people? Do you walk this dog in public? Are you 100 percent sure you can stop your dog from charging another dog or person in public?
If you are not 100 percent positive you should consider getting a muzzle for your dog. Many medium to large-sized dogs are very strong and can overpower their owner holding the leash. This is especially true with children and teenagers walking dogs.
Every year we have dog bites that are preventable and owners are responsible for their dogs that bite another dog or person. Do your part to prevent dog bites by controlling your dog before someone gets hurt and you get stuck with medical bills and possibly a ticket.
