COVID update: The library is open!
We are open at our regular hours: Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon. We are closed on Sundays and Mondays.
We had to forego (sadly) having any kind of program that may bring large groups into the library, but the library is capable of hosting up to 10 people at a time (pandemic guideline) and we rarely have more than one or two people at a time throughout the day. In this large, open building, it is very east to keep a six-foot distance between patrons and staff.
We're open! Spread the word!
Since reopening in July we have offered curbside pickup. If you have books waiting here for you, just call the library and arrange a time to park outside while we bring the books to your car. We will also deliver books to anyone who is homebound.
Puzzles: Minneota Library now offers jigsaw puzzles to check out. We are building a collection of puzzles and have received donations of both new and used puzzles. I recently read this: "Jigsaw puzzles quiet the mind and induce a state of creative meditation." Jigsaw puzzles are good for you. Winter months have always been a good time for puzzles, and especially now when people are staying home more than usual. We have puzzles ranging from 300 to 1,000 pieces.
Two new additions to our DVD selection "The Typist", an the award-winning documentary about Minneota native Larry Tillemans and his military service during the Nuremburg War Trials, and, "How We Got To Know", a series of six television shows about inventions and how the ideas for them came about. We are always adding new books, too. Come and visit soon!
