Dalager hurls no-hitter in win over RCW

Junior right-hander Ryan Dalager tossed a no-hitter in his first mound outing of the season, striking out 13 batters as Minneota routed Renville County West 18-2 at K.P. Kompelien Field last Tuesday.
The game was originally scheduled to be played in Danube, but unplayable field conditions there forced the game to be moved to Minneota. RCW remained the home team.
Dalager walked four and allowed one earned run. Only two of the Jaguars' 15 outs recorded came other than a strikeout. The Vikings invoked the 10-run rule after five innings.
Minneota (2-0) rapped 12 hits and utilized seven walks, five RCW errors and seven stolen bases to manufacture its 18 runs, nine of which came in the first inning.
Isaac Pohlen had three hits and drove in four runs for the Vikings. Peyton Gillund and Ryan Meagher had two hits apiece, while five other batters added one hit each. Gillund, Jackson Lacek and Peyton Sheik drove in two runs apiece.
RCW starting pitcher Carter Rice recorded only one out before being removed, but drove in both runs for the Jaguars on a groundout and a sacrifice fly.
