Ryan Dalager spun a four-hitter with eight strikeouts and Minneota edged Dawson-Boyd 2-0 in a Camden Conference showdown Monday at K.P. Kompelien Field in Minneota.
The three Minneota seniors, Peyton Gillund, Jackson Lacek and Isaac Pohlen were recognized for their final home game.
The Vikings (10-3) scored in the fourth and sixth innings. Ryan Meagher scored both Minneota runs, scoring on an error in the fourth inning and on a single by Gillund in the sixth inning.
That was all the scoring Dalager needed as allowed just four singles while walking three. The Vikings’ defense was solid behind him, playing error-free.
Gillund, Meagher, Jackson Lacek and Joe Voit had the four Minneota hits, all singles.
Nate Hanson pitched all six innings for Dawson-Boyd and was tagged with the loss, allowing just one earned run. He walked three and struck out one.

Ninth inning explosion lifts Vikings
Minneota (9-3) exploded for eight runs in the top of the ninth inning en route to a 10-5 win over Lac qui Parle Valley Thursday in Madison.
The Vikings outhit the Eagles 11-5. Peyton Gillund, Isaac Pohlen and Parker Bradley had two hits each. Pohlen also drove in three runs.
Jackson Lacek, Brody Larson, Ryan Meagher and Adam Dalager had one hit apiece. Gillund, Larson, Voit and Bradley each rapped a double.
Bradley made his first start on the mound for Minneota and worked 5 1/3 innings, allowing four hits and two runs. Meagher hurled 2 2/3 innings before running into trouble in the bottom of the ninth. Peyton Gillund finished for his fourth save of the season.

MCC gets walk-off win
Murray County Central (10-1) scored a walk-off 7-6 win against Minneota on Tuesday in Slayton.
Minneota (8-3), which outhit the Rebels 12-8, scored three times in the top of the fifth inning to tie the game 6-6.
MCC then scored its winning run with no outs in the bottom of the seventh inning off Vikings reliever Peyton Gillund.
Ryan Dalager started on the mound for the Vikings, allowing four hits and two earned runs, while walking four and striking out eight. Gillund pitched two innings and was touched for four hits and the one run. He struck out two.
Isaac Pohlen was 3-for-4 and drove in a run for the Vikings. Gillund, Jackson Lacek and Joe Voit had two hits apiece. Lacek drove in two runs. Dalager was 1-for-3 with a two-run double.
Jaden Deacon homered and doubled, while walking twice and scoring two runs for the Rebels. Christian Tentinger was 2-for-4, including a double and a triple. Dylan Kluis was also 2-for-4.
