The Canby/Minneota girls' track team captured its sixth straight Camden Conference title on Thursday in Granite Falls, edging MACCRAY/Renville County West by 20 points.
The Canby/Minneota boys placed fourth in the 10-team conference meet with 83 points. Lac qui Parle Valley/Dawson-Boyd took the title with 121 points. Lakeview was runner-up with 113 points.
The C/M boys had two conference champions, Zach Ourada in the 1,600 run and the 4 x 800 relay team of Kolton Duis, Logan Myhre, Tallen Merritt and Blake Giese in a time of 8:44.34.
The boys also had several runner-up finishes, including Ourada in the 800, Cayden Anderson in the discus, Trevor Gray in the high jump, Joseph Wollum in pole vault, and the 4 x 400 relay team of Duis, Merritt, Ourada and Gray.
Meanwhile, the C/M girls had five champions and five runner-up finishes. Winning events were Braelyn Merritt in the 800, Claire Stoks in the 1600, Mya Pesek in the 3200, the 4 x 200 relay team of Gabby Verhelst, Taylor Ourada, Brynn Kockelman and Natalie Stoks; and the 4 x 800 relay team of Jordyn Jostock, Rachel Jelen, Stoks and Merritt.
Runners-up included Stoks in the 200, Pesek in the 1600, Nohemi Diaz in the 300 hurdles, and Karlie Wollum in the long jump and the triple jump.
