February High School Viking Valor

Seventh Grade: Kylie Sterzinger consistently demonstrates the Viking Valor attributes — Respect, Honor, and High Expectations. Her pleasant personality and positive attitude make her a great addition to the MHS Class of 2024. She is a disciplined student who leads by example, willingly helps peers who are struggling with assignments or teachers who need an extra hand. And, she is quick with a smile or kind word if a friend is having a rough day.

Eighth Grade: Michael Popowski. Michael is a student that leads by actions. He leads in the classroom by doing the right thing, being kind to and respectful of his teachers and peers, both in and out of the classroom. Michael does well academically, working hard in class and making sure that assignments are done well and on time.

Ninth Grade: Laney Myhre. Laney is friendly and is always in a positive frame of mind. She leads quietly by setting examples for others to follow. She is kind and considerate towards others Laney is a conscientious worker, striving to do her best in and out of the classroom.

Sophomore: Raeann Bruner. Raeann is the type of student that quietly goes about her business without being a disruption in the classroom. She is kind and considerate towards her teachers and peers. She has a positive and friendly disposition and is well liked by her peers and the staff at Minneota Public School.

Junior: Liz Voit. She is quiet but kind, respectful, and conscientious. She see things that need to be done and does them without being asked. Her disciplined study habits have paid off academically and, with each step taken outside of her comfort zone, her confidence in tackling new challenges continues to grow.

Senior: (Professor) Cole VanOverbeke. Cole is the perfect example of a well-rounded student. He excels at academics, and is also involved in the arts and athletics. Cole has been a strong component of the success of the football team and the wrestling team. He made another trip to the state wrestling tournament as an individual and knows the value of hard work and determination. Cole is well-liked and respected by his peers and the staff at Minneota Public School and he’s a person who quietly leads by example.
