Minneota Elementary May Viking Valor

The Kindergarten May Viking Valor student of the month is McKenzie DePestel. She can be seen quietly to meeting the High Expectations of Viking Valor. DePestel shows Viking Valor everywhere she goes while setting a good example for their classmates in the classroom, hallways, lunchroom and playground.

McKenzie always does her best and never gives up when things are hard. She takes her time to complete her tasks and makes sure it’s done accurately. Keep on working hard and persevere every day! Congratulations McKenzie Depestel!

The 1st grade student is Lane Shoultz. He has shown a lot of growth this year not only in the classroom, but also his relationships with friends and classmates. Lane has worked hard to improve himself not only in the classroom, but also with how he treats and works with others. Lane gives the best effort right away. He shows respect by staying on task and completing all of his work to the best of his ability the first time. He shows kindness and empathy to classmates and meets high expectations by helping other students out and by kindly reminding others of the rules. He has shown honor all year long by keeping his desk area neat and tidy all year long. Congratulations, Lane Shoultz!

May's Student of the Month in Second grade is Jodi Hauswedell. She’s kind, respectful, soft-spoken, hardworking and has a happy personality that makes others want to smile ... whether first thing in the morning walking in the door or at recess as they include others in play. Jodi does not interrupt others, waits to share ideas with the class when called upon and uses good manners in the cafeteria line and lunchroom. She is a hard worker and has met her AR goals each quarter this year and is really enjoying reading chapter books. She’s ready for third grade. Congratulations to Jodi Hauswedell for showing Viking Valor!

The third grade student is Libby Sussner. She’s a great example of what Viking Valor looks like. Libby is ALWAYS doing what she is supposed to be doing. She starts a task as soon as it is assigned and works hard to complete it in a timely manner. She also shows high expectations by meeting math challenges set before her such as Mad Minutes and Study Island. Libby is a HUGE help in the classroom. She goes out of her way to help her peers in any way she can. In fact, she is often a step ahead of the teachers with tasks that need to be completed. Thanks for all you do and congratulations, Libby Sussner!

Fourth Grader Tana Gillund has consistently shown Viking Valor all year long. She follows the school rules, is polite and courteous to others, and works hard and gives her very best at school! She is also very dependable from getting work done on time to lending a helping hand in the classroom when needed. Tana has been an asset in the classroom and has made our year very enjoyable. You’ve done an excellent job ALL YEAR LONG, Tana Gillund!

Fifth grader Brock Kremin is always on the look-out for how he can help around the classroom and school. It seems like second nature to Brock to be honorable by lending a helping hand to ANYONE in need. He’s always exceeding expectations on everything from day-to-day assignments to tests to classroom participation to behavior … you name it! Brock is also very respectful to everyone he encounters. Manners are obviously super important to him because he uses them without even thinking about it. Brock has exhibited all of the above throughout the entire school year. That’s why May’s 5 h grade Viking Valor winner is BROCK KREMIN!

Sixth grader Jacquelynn Moon who has done an excellent job showing Viking Valor continuously throughout the school year. She is always thinking of others and giving forth her best effort in class. We’re proud of Jacquelynn for excelling academically and socially. We’ll miss seeing her smiling face next year. Congratulations to Jacquelynn Moon!
