Mrs. Jan Bot - Library
The library has been a busy place! Last week all students had the opportunity to take a look at the book fair during their regularly scheduled library time. Wish lists were made and hopefully, some of those book wishes will come true! Mrs. Bot decided to try something new this December by hiding an elf on the shelf in the library. Our elf is named Jingles and he is VERY small in comparison to most one would see. It has been fun to see the anticipation of finding Jingles each week! One student had the idea of getting to check out an extra book as the “prize” for finding Jingles. What a great idea for a prize!! Storytime this week we read, “Clown of God” by Tomie dePoala. What a treasure this book is! The message we discussed is how we all have something to offer God and other people and by doing something for others we are doing it for God as well. The children were very attentive during the reading of this book which tells Mrs. Bot they are truly listening and likely enjoying what we’re reading.
