Klaire Banks (center) won the “Voice of Democracy” essay contest and has been entered in the District competition. With her were VFW Commander Pam Gregor (left) and Ed Lozinski, who has been helping sponsor the event. Katie Konold was second and Rachel Vlaminck third. The contest is held for grades nine through 12. The winners of the Patriot Pen contests for grades 6-8 were: Garrett Peterson, Gabriel Ludwikowski and Naima Content.
