Austin Buysse is homecoming king at Dakota Wesleyan

Minneota native Austin Buysse was chosen Homecoming King at Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, SD Tuesday night. He and Chesney Nagel of Springfield, SD were chosen to reign over the festivities.

Both Buysse and Nagel are seniors at Dakota Wesleyan University. Blue & White Days will be held Friday through Saturday, Sept. 29-30 at the university. Coronation was held Tuesday, Sept. 26, in the Sherman Center, and the pep rally will be at 10 p.m., Friday, at the DWU/Avera Sports and Wellness Complex.

Buysse is majoring is sports management and minoring in communications.

He is the son of Kevin and Michelle Buysse and he is a member of the DWU Tiger football team.

Buysse is a 2014 graduate of Minneota High School.

He led his high school football team as quarterback and is one of the quarterbacks on the Tiger team.

He also plays third base for the Minneota Mudhens.
