Giving the ducks a kiss for good luck were last year’s royalty: (left to right) Queen Sarah Engels and Princesses Baily Kaas and Emily Buysse.Heidi Guttormsson and Alex Josephson rescued the ducks after the race at the annual Duck Races sponsored by the Boxelder Bug Days Committee. The races are a fundraiser for the committee. The annual Queen’s Tea was also held along with a father-daughter dance at the Countryside Golf Course.

Duck races winners named

The Annual Duck Races and Fun Day was held on Saturday, June 10 at the Minneota Golf Course.

The big winner was Abby Thostenson, who took home $200.

Second place of $100 went to Ken Buysse.

Third place was Noah Engels, a $50 winner.

The other $25 awards went to:

•Tim Koppien

•Robert Gorecki

•Joy Buysse and

•Carmen Larsen
