Harvest Fest returning here Oct. 23

City Hall Bar & Grill's family event includes food/drink specials, music & more

The Harvest Fest was so much fun last year that City Hall Bar & Grill manager Jordan Dressen decided to make it an annual event.
"We had so much fun last year," Dressen remarked. "It's going to be a good time again because we can have something for everyone."
The second annual Harvest Fest will be held on Saturday, Oct. 23 at City Hall Bar & Grill on First Street.
There will be family activities inside and outside the establishment throughout the day and into the evening.
The children's activities will run from 1-4 p.m. and will include pumpkin decorating, a petting zoo, costume contest )wear your Halloween costume), chalk art, and bean bag toss.
There will also be fall-themed food and drink specials throughout the day,
For the adults, there will be a Chili Cookoff beginning at 3 p.m. with the top prize of $100 being awarded at 5 p.m.
For those interested in participating in the chili cookoff, register at the bar. There is no registration fee.
From 5-8 p.m., there will be a tap takeover by Sleepy Eye Brewing Company.
Live music will begin at 8 p.m.
Because of COVID restrictions last year, many events had to be cancelled. The Harvest Fest was able to be held because some of those restrictions had been lifted by then.
"The people really enjoyed just being able to get out and enjoy themselves," said Dressen.
"We hope to do this every year now."
