Harvest time

It’s that time of year once again and this week farmers are in the fields, bringing in the 2017 harvest.

Most were taking in the drier beans, bean truck loaded to the top and were bringing them to the elevators in the area.

Some corn was also coming out but most is still in the field as farmers wait for it to dry.

Attacking a soybean field between Minneota and Ivanhoe along County Road 9 was the farmer who had the every-evolving wind turbine rising in the background with the tall crane also in the background as the harvest came to fruition.

A farmer southwest of Taunton brought in the soybean crop with an area farm in the background. Long lines waited to drop beans at the Farmers Elevator in Taunton.

Tractor driver Paul Fonteyn waited across the street with many other trucks lined up to drop off their harvest. Below, trucks and tractors were parked along Highway 68 in Taunton as they awaited their turn at the elevator in Taunton.
