Local fire prevention week coming

The week of October 8 to 14 is Fire Prevention Week and the Minneota Fire Department will be celebrating.

The Open House is scheduled for 5-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11 at the Minneota Fire Hall.

Firemen will serve burgers and will give fire truck rides to the kids. This year the Marshall Fire Department Smoke House will be on the grounds.

Poster contest winners will be displayed and Operation Edith will be conducted by the fire department at 8 p.m. that evening.

On Oct. 12 and 13, the fire department will hold pre-school tours.
