Automatic lights need to be turned off and drivers need to manually turn on their lights during snowy weather.

Message from MnDOT

Make sure your headlights are on!

MnDOT wants to remind the public of the importance of headlights when it’s snowing.

They have been receiving reports from snow plow operators that it difficult to see when lights aren’t on.

In this type of snowy, wet weather, the automatic lights need to be turned off and drivers need to manually turn on their lights.

Lyon County is currently in a Winter Weather Advisory from 4 a.m. Tuesday to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
