Mission group returns home; feels fulfilled

They're back!
The Minneota Area Mission Group that embarked on a six-day trip to Mississippi to assist others in need returned home on June 25.
A total of 25 kids and nine adults spent time in Walls, Mississippi repairing homes for needy people. The group split into two groups and worked on two separate homes. They shingled a roof, constructed a wheelchair ramp, painted inside and outside a home, replaced flooring and much more.
The group was working with a group called Sacred Heart Southern Mission. In some past missions, the group worked in homeless shelters and served meals.
This was a much more physical mission work but equally as rewarding.
The kids fundraised for months to help defray the cost of the mission trip.
The Mascot will feature more on their adventures, including photos, in next week's paper.
