Dangerous flood conditions continue around Southwestern Minnesota.

MnDOT closes bridge on Highway 30 east of Currie

MnDOT District 8 (southwest and west central MN) has closed the bridge on Highway 30, east of Currie, over the Des Moines River.

MnDOT District 8 is concerned about the force and speed of the water and does not want the traveling public to use the bridge until it can ensure it is safe to travel across.

The following road in southern MN is also closed:

· Highway 14 (1 mile east) near Lamberton MnDOT is currently assessing the situation and will provide updates, including road and bridge closures, as information becomes available.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation warns motorists that driving through water is dangerous.

Vehicles can be swept away in only several inches of moving water.
