Note from the Chief: Street parking at the Minneota School is BACK!

Strict enforcement will begin tomorrow!

Street parking at the Minneota School is BACK!

Strict enforcement will begin tomorrow, Thursday, September 28.

This means that enforcement will begin starting tomorrow. The parking stalls are clearly marked and new parking signs are being added.

There is lots of parking available on the street and in the school parking lot. The school parking lot always has 20 or more parking spots that go unused, so NO one will have an excuse for illegal parking or stopping in the street.

No one will be permitted to stop in the roadway and pick up or drop of people. No one will be permitted to park in handicap stalls unless you have a permit (not even just to run in and drop something off).

No one will be permitted to park in a yellow no parking zone or where signs prohibit parking (please look for the clearly posted signs).

Vehicles MUST STOP for people in the crosswalk. These laws are not new.

Everyone who has a driver's license had to pass a test regarding these rules.

Enforcement will be done to promote safety for everyone on N. Monroe Street and at the school.

If you don't follow the rules, you are putting people in danger and I will give you a citation.
