Daniel A. Johnson

Daniel A. “Danny” Johnson of Naples, Florida, 77, who was raised on a farm outside of Minneota, died on Dec. 26, 2022 following a brief illness. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Danny was born Aug. 21, 1945 in Marshall, Minnesota. He was the oldest of five children born to Orlando and Irene Johnson.
Danny went into the Navy after high school and spent four years serving his country. He spent time on the USS Enterprise, steering it along.
Danny and his wife, Lynda lived in Hazel Run, MN; Granite Falls, MN; and Chanhassen, MN where Danny was a unioned commercial plumber for many years.
He enjoyed spending time on his pontoon at Cross Lake, MN and his home with family members and many friends. For many years they traveled in their beautiful RV, enjoying this lifestyle which included meeting many wonderful people. They also frequently visited the family farm, where he was born and raised, to attend many family events. They spent their time together in Naples, FL and Cross Lake in the summers for many years into retirement.
Danny retired at age 60 and so enjoyed the weather in Naples with his motorcycle buddies.
Danny and Lynda went on beautiful scenic rides with the Wild Hogs Ride and enjoyed many restaurants on these rides.
Danny had a life lived well and will be missed by so many. Blessed be his memory.
He is survived by his wife, Lynda; son, Derek Johnson; daughter, Lisa Johnson; grandchild Macey Johnson; brother, DuWayne Johnson; sisters, Barb (Noel) Ness, Darlene Noyes and Monica (Kevin) Bothun; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orlando and Irene (Schwartz) Johnson.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Cross Lake, MN in July 2023.
